New Year’s Eve at Uptown Theater

*

If you weren’t at the Uptown Theatre New Year’s Eve Party, then you missed out on the bash of the year! The party started rocking at 7:00pm and continued till 1am for everyone 18 and over. Parking wasn’t an issue at all, just across from Uptown, and there were a few guards who helped you to park your car and made you feel safe. The parking was free. The beautiful main lobby was where you picked up your bracelets for the night.

The party had everything one would need from live music to DJs to free drinks to snacks all night. That’s right! Free drinks with the cover being $40 per person gets you in 4 rooms or $80 for each VIP gets you in 5 rooms. VIPs could enjoy premium drinks with their dinner in the beautiful Broadway Room. The Broadway Room can be rented for any different events like Weddings or business meetings. All the rooms had a wide variety of different music going on. Everyone could be able to find the room they like the best or visit their favorite rooms. In the theater, the Allied Saints, a live band, performed most of the night with a laser show. Guests could sit comfortably and watch the band or you could grab your dancing partner and make your way down front to the dance floor.

Each room had a different theme. The Conspiracy room has a mixture of posters of important leaders and Egyptian live-sized figures. The Valentine Room and Cabaret Room had more of a club like feel, but the Cabaret Room had posters of famous actors and movies, while the Nowhere Bar was a mix of club and bar. All of the rooms had either bars with snacks and drinks right in the room or just right around the corner. The DJ in the Valentine Room was spinning 70’s, 80’s, 90’s & Today’s Music. The dance floor was always filled with excitement and laughter. Upstairs, DJ Lawrence was pumping it up with techno for the crowd, while DJ Shelly Jacobs in the Conspiracy Room and DJ Jeff Holmes in the Nowhere Bar were popping tunes from hip hop to country.

If at any point in the night you got lost, stationed at each floor, lounge, and hall was a staff member of the Uptown Theatre ready to help with directions or to inform you what is going on in each room. If you needed a cab, there were posters with cab numbers or you could have rented a hotel room instead. From the different rooms and activities, everyone who came had the time of their lives. If you missed it, make sure you don’t miss it again.
