New Theatre Restaurant: Norman, Is That You?

In the comedy, "Norman, Is That You?", Don Knotts stars as Ben Chambers, a dry cleaner from Ohio whose wife Beatrice has thrown him into a tizzy by running off with his brother. Ben decides to go to New York City to seek solace with his son Norman only to find Norman's male roommate is also Norman's significant other-family therapist Garson Hobart. Throw in a "lady of the night" who is sent in by Ben to set Norman straight, and you have farce combined with generation-gap comedy has been called "a comic nugget of a play."

In an interview shortly after his comedy opened on Broadway, Sam Bobrick said: "'Norman, Is That You?' is not only a comedy but a play about values, about love, about human behavior. It isn't really about Norman any more than it is about love or infidelity or homosexuality. It's about parenting, trying to make your kids come out right, looking back to see where you might have failed."

Prices are $19.95 to $39.95 and include both show and dining, evenings Tuesday through Sunday at 6 p.m. with matinees scheduled Wednesday and Sundays at noon.
