Concert at Santa Fe Tower Apartments
On January 4, 2000, pianist-improvisator Jerry Warner performed a concert for Apartment residents, who pay only a small portion of the rent, the rest of whichis paid by the Government.
These people cannot afford to go out for dinners and concerts too often, and because of this, the ticket price was set only at $1. This concert was a joint project of our newspaper and the Apartment Association. Tickets were distributed by the Association, and the performer was introduced by our Club.
Jerry Warner spent his life in the construction business and never had any education in music. He never worked as a professional musician, but practiced as a cocktail player at parties. Jerry likes music very much and plays piano mostly for his own pleasure. His play is mostly improvisation based on popular songs.
